Calculators - Injectors
These calculations are based on a known flow rate of water through the device and a known feed rate of dechlorination solution (a mixture of Vita‑D‑Chlor and water) into the device. This is useful for commercial devices like the deChlorinator and the H2O Neutralizer, as well as for homemade venturis. It can also be used with metering pumps.

When using the calculated results, it is important to remember that your feed solution of Vita‑D‑Chlor and water has limitations. Generally, no more than one pound of Vita‑D‑Chlor can be mixed into a gallon of water. This concentration can be increased to four pounds per gallon if you choose to use Vita‑D‑Chlor Neutral. The calculator equations are suitable for both Vita‑D‑Chlor and Vita‑D‑Chlor Neutral.

Enter the three parameters and click "Calculate".

Parameters
Flow Rate in GPM
PPM of Chlorine
Feed Rate in GPH

Results
Pounds per Gallon of Vita‑D‑Chlor
Grams per Gallon of Vita‑D‑Chlor

Formula
Pounds of Vita‑D‑Chlor per gallon of water = (Flow x PPM) / (750 x Feed)
Grams of Vita‑D‑Chlor per gallon of water = (3 x Flow x PPM) / (5 x Feed)

where

Flow=Flow rate of water through the device in gallons per minute (GPM)
PPM=Parts per million of Chlorine to be treated
Feed=Feed rate of dechlorination solution into the device in gallons per hour (GPH)

While the statements, information and data provided herein are believed to be accurate and reliable, they are presented without guarantee, warranty, or responsibility of any kind, expressed or implied. This information is based on general calculation for the dechlorinization capabilities of Vita‑D‑Chlorâ„¢. It is intended only to assist in determining the quantity of material to purchase and is not a statement of the actual quantity of Vita‑D‑Chlorâ„¢ required to neutralize chlorine. Different attributes of different water will affect your actual results. Prior to being released into the environment, all treated water must be tested to assure that complete dechlorinization has been achieved.
